We are incredibly excited to welcome Ricky Machel to Portland. Ricky is one of the owners of the club and comes with an incredible resume.

The UEFA A Licensed coach has a vast soccer background having coached in the English academy system, as well as having played both professionally and in the US College soccer system.

Ricky’s coaching history includes Head Coaching roles within the academies at Watford FC and Queens Park Rangers (QPR). Ricky has blended his coaching with teaching also, having taught in soccer studies at both the university level, as well as at Soccer Chance Academy London. This is in addition to coaching players who now operate in the EPL, English Championship (and below) as well as many players at the international level, representing England and other European nations. Ricky has also worked with numerous players from the UK who have moved into the US college system at NCAA D1 D2 and NAIA level. Ricky will be on the ground for the 25/26 season!
