Financial Aid
Soccer Chance Academy Portland (SCA) strives to offer the opportunity for all players to participate in our academy program, regardless of financial means or limitations.
Financial assistance is available for tuition fees only. The family is responsible for all other attendant costs associated with player participation, such as tournament fees, travel expenses, and uniform. Financial aid is provided for one season at a time – players with continuing needs must reapply each season.
The SCA financial aid committee offers support to qualified players after reviewing all applications confidentially. Parents/Guardians will be notified as soon as the review process is completed.
Financial Aid Eligibility Criteria
SCA requires verification of government assistance and/or tax return verification of financial need to determine player qualification for financial aid assistance. Please apply through Playmetrics upon registration.
Financial Aid at SCA will be awarded using the below chart as the income guidelines.
A family earning at or below the listed amount in the chart will receive the following:
Low Income Limit – 20% discount off tuition
Very Low Income Limit – 50% discount off tuition
Extremely Low Income Limit – 75% discount off tuition
For example: a family of 4 earning $65,000 annually will receive a 20% scholarship off of all players in the program.
Scholarships may available on a case by case basis and require board and director approval. Applications for scholarships, outside of financial aid may vary and are based on availability and funds.
Financial Aid applications happen during registration through the Playmetrics platform.
